Newsletter March 06

In France the water levels are rising daily as it continues to rain. We are very close to flooding at the Moulin. I am tempted to sleep in my wellies in case of a night emergency. Back in the UK it is ffffreeezing and the gardens are covered in drifts of snow drops. I am grateful for underfloor heating - I can still pad around barefoot.

Well I have been working in the library in the discography section of the site for the past few weeks. I am feeling very proud of myself. Whilst it is still an ongoing exercise the basics are already in place. I could not have achieved this without the help of Jonas who has a HUGE collection of Sandie Shaw records. So a big thanks to him. Now here is where I would like your help. Wherever you are living in the world please have a look at your country in the discography and if you can fill in any gaps please contact the site with any information to add, and especially pics as jpgs.

There are not any recent releases listed as these are covered in the Fans Lounge but eventually these will be added too.

For all of you who enjoyed my Radio 2 Ready Steady Go programme I am recording another one soon on that strange phenomenon known as the Eurovision Song Contest, probably with Matt Lucas. So I doubt it will be serious! I’ll let you know about broadcast dates.

Oh and please don’t forget we are still engaged in an illegal war in Iraq and do your best to establish TRUE Democracy in your families and community wherever you are living. This is always based on recognition, respect and celebration of differences and is never based on short term economic advantage of one group of people over another. Sorry if this sounds a bit pompous but somebody has got to say it….
